Creative Director, Copywriter, Agency Runner

One-sentence bio: Ad nerd, nugget miner (when CDing), client whisperer, and copy chameleon.

Creative philosophy or approach: First, it's great to work with kind people who want to make something interesting, but also understand it's not life or death. I usually like to start with a human thought, season it with a little empathy and humility, and then see what sort of small idea we might be able to tease out of it that can go on to resonate in a bigger way.

One-sentence bio: An Asian mind with an ambitious grind, and a Latina soul inside an adventurous troll.

Creative philosophy or approach: People say customer is king, but for me, research is Queen B on top of the king (no pun intended). Without research you can’t find the best bars to drink real mezcal, the best horror movies to Netflix and chill, nor the best insight to win the brief. Perhaps you have a good idea, but if you don’t have concrete data to back you up, your idea is just good, not great. I even search for the stupidest/craziest ideas to see if they could actually work, and surprisingly enough, they do (most of the times). Once my Asian left brain tells me I’m good to go, then my Latina right brain starts crafting non-stop until both brains decide the work is perfect.

Strategic Planner

One-sentence bio: A strategic planner who has worked agencies across the globe in Auckland, Dubai, Milan and New York and always has a finger on the pulse of culture.

Creative philosophy or approach: A strategist within an agency is like a conductor of an orchestra. Formulating a strategy that is rooted in insights of human behaviors, trends and market analysis, culture and business. The strategist directs the performance and sets the tempo with the brand strategy. This inspires and leads the way for art directors and copywriters to ideate and account management to execute, all in all, shaping the beautiful sound of the ensemble.

I have an interdisciplinary background, with career stops in editorial, design, marketing and advertising, and am a Jill-of-all-Trades. I have a soft spot for all things innovative and mobile, but I've produced work in nearly every channel. I’ve cracked behavioural and consumer insights, and written creative briefs and conceptual narratives off the back of them. I’ve also inspired colleagues and clients, I love to present, and I've been recognised with a few awards along the way.

Creative Director

One-sentence bio: I'm a creative director, word nerd, hip-hop worshipper, reluctant fashion-girl, and hard-core moon child.

Creative philosophy or approach: Putting myself in other people's shoes is at the core of everything I do, whether it's building a campaign or brainstorming with a team. People just want to be heard and understood, and the more we prize that in the boardroom and in our stories, the more people will want to engage with us as humans and as brand. Paying close attention to what people want and mirroring that empathetically is the secret sauce to successful campaigns—and being a good human.

Publicist, Communications Consultant

One-sentence bio: I specialize in bespoke publicity and marketing campaigns, creative strategy, and communications for people with talent and brands with vision.

Creative philosophy or approach: Passionate for creatives’ work to be noticed and stories behind their artistry to be shared, I create the conditions for those conversations to be ongoing and highly visible. I’m inspired by the imagination, creativity, and passion that goes into creative work, but what really propels me is how a meaningful story can have so much consequence. That’s why I love to tell stories, shining a light on the people that bring them to life via the media. It elates me to help create, shape, then share exceptional narratives and concepts to communicate messaging that make people and their work memorable.

Creative philosophy or approach: Make stuff that gets people to do stuff. And have fun, and stuff.

Recent work I'm proud of: Turner Classic Movies launched a streaming service for cinephiles called FilmStruck. When a diehard fan tweeted that he wanted to marry it, I convinced TCM to accept his proposal, in person. Not only did we surprise the superfan at his office, we staged an impromptu wedding complete with a cake, flowers, gifts, popcorn to throw, and a justice of the peace. After seeing how truly moved he was, I couldn't help but feel a little emotional as the FilmStruck fan drove off into the night with film reels tied to his bumper.

One-sentence bio: As a creative director, my conceptual expertise, polished design aesthetics, leadership skills and understanding of client needs and goals represent cross currents of creativity and business sense—leading to a stream of highly successful integrated campaigns for renowned agencies, brands and their consumers.

Creative philosophy or approach: I've learned that every project has its own challenges, and learning how to overcome them to creatively solve business objectives is a huge part of what defines a creative partner. My methodology to the creative process is simple: be passionate, think differently, be resourceful, go the extra mile, learn new things, set aside drama and ego, and have fun.

One-sentence bio: I'm an award winning freelance creative director and writer with over 18 years of experience in advertising.

Creative philosophy or approach: Every brand has a great story to tell. It could buried deep in its history. It could be a document of the next moonshot. Or it could be something completely made up that's so dumb and fun that you just can't ignore it. I'm obsessed with unearthing those stories and telling them.

One-sentence bio: CD/writer fighting the proliferation of mediocrity as @leeclowsbeard.

Creative philosophy or approach: I believe in making clients money. In fighting the proliferation of mediocrity. That there is no metric for blowing people’s minds. That making a logo 10% bigger won’t help a message that’s 50% irrelevant. That baby steps are for babies, not brands. That you can never become the person, agency or brand you wish to be by doing the type of work you wished you never had to do. And that failure hurts less than regret.
