Ikea Created Instructions for Gingerbread Versions of Its Most Popular Furniture

Tasty campaign from Rethink in Canada

Gingerbread houses are notoriously rickety structures. But now, you can bring some sturdy Ikea engineering to yours—thanks to an adorable campaign from Rethink in Canada.

The agency helped the furniture and home-goods retailer create instructions for gingerbread versions of some of its popular products, including the Billy bookcase, Jokkmokk table and chairs, Lack table, Malm bedframe, Rens rug and Strandmon archmair. Ikea members can enter to win an Ikea gingerbread furniture kit, which includes custom cookie cutters for the furniture pieces—or you can simply download the PDF instructions at the link above, and eyeball it yourself.

"At Ikea, we believe every house deserves to feel like a home, even if it's made of deliciously sweet gingerbread," the brand says. "In true Ikea fashion, each furniture cookie is designed to be easy to assemble, giving everyone an opportunity to get in on the festive fun."

Gingerbread homemakers are encouraged to share their creations with the hashtag #IKEAHoliday.
