Clio Health Innovators: Angela Wyan, Group Art Supervisor, CDM N.Y.

Angela began her career as an intern at Bayer Pharmaceuticals in the packaging design department, where she collaborated with the design director and a partner agency to help refresh the look of global Aspirin's packaging. At CDM N.Y., Angela leads an art team on a global biosimilars brand, bringing a strategic sensibility and purposeful thinking to every project.

How you bring creativity and innovation to your work

Creativity and innovation require staying curious and being aware of the latest campaigns and technology. In health advertising, there are regulatory and legal guidelines surrounding our work—but within those tight guardrails is where creativity can thrive.

About a recent project you're proud of

"Dear Dicks," a social campaign created to educate the world's "dicks" about orgasm inequality. We partnered with Siecus: Sex Ed for Social Change, to deliver targeted content to thousands of men named Dick, Richard, and Rich on social media. The social posts drove to DearDicks.com, which features playful, educational illustrations on topics such as how female anatomy works, exploring new erogenous zones and the importance of consent.

What you're most excited about right now in the health space

I am most excited about technology evolving and the endless possibilities of AI. From where I sit, there's never been a better time to work in the healthcare space. Since Covid, a cultural shift has taken place: People are focusing more on their health and on what truly matters.

What it means to you to be selected as a Clio Health Innovator

t means so much! To be recognized among so many other talented peers is truly special. I look forward to continuing to grow and creating ever more impactful work as I move forward in my career.

Her digital prowess and design mastery make her more than an art director; she's a magician, a David Blaine of creativity. If you're in search of a magician to enchant this year's Clio Innovators roster with a wave of her creative wand and a flourish of innovative finesse, Angela is your hidden ace up the sleeve."—Tyler Maxson, SVP, creative director, Purpose Group, at CDM.
