Whitney Cusack Keeps It Real Behind the Lens

Our chat with Miniac's head of production

On today’s episode of #BlackTea, we chat with the head of production at Miniac, Whitney Cusack, on the importance of having a support system at work. Whitney shares her journey from set designing on feature films to producing commercial work with brands and agencies. She talks about the need to make space for diverse crews on set and why people should be encouraged to speak up during the process. She speaks on the value of having a voice and advises young Black women to show up as their authentic selves. Finally, she touches on how she purposefully leans into hobbies as a source of relief and distraction from the rigors of her job.

Black Tea is a video series that exists to make the independent voices of our fellow Black adwomen louder in the industry.
