Ryan Reynolds Hijacked His Own Samsung Ad to Promote His Gin and His New Movie

Three pitches for the price of one

Ryan Reynolds multitasks like a mofo in this very self-aware Samsung spot from adam&eveDDB in New York.

With an aww-shucks expression stamped on his face, Reynolds talks up his new Netflix film 6 Underground—best viewed on a Samsung QLED TV!—before shifting gears and plugging Aviation Gin, of which he's an owner.

Dude's industry in-joke explanation for shoe-horning three brands into one commercial?

QLED + 6 Underground + Ryan Reynolds - Director's Cut

"I bought mid-roll ad placement," he sheepishly tells the outraged director, who storms the set, adding: "It felt like the right thing to do."

Ha! Ha! Ad jargon's so lame! That guy's so rich!

Kudos, Mr. Reynolds, on another Aviation ad that doesn't suck.
