This Ad for a High-Speed Ferry Isn't Quite as Romantic as Titanic

A slow kiss aboard the zippy Fjord FSTR

Recreating famous scenes from Titanic is difficult when you're aboard the Fjord FSTR high-speed catamaran. The ship will get you from Norway to Denmark in only two hours and 15 minutes (trust us, that's quick), but when you're perched on the bow like Leo and Kate, your kiss is likely to get ... a little flappy.

This is according to Oslo agency POL's amusing new spot for Fjord Line, one of the few campaigns to embrace humor as the travel industry emerges from Covid.

Sometimes all you need for a winning commercial is flat-out stupid humor, particularly these days. "We still wait for the travel industry to go back to normal, but every day that goes by, we get closer to the day we can travel freely again," the agency tells Muse. "Until then, you know what they say: 'Laughter is an instant vacation.' "

Comedy is a staple over at POL. They were last seen hitting back at GM and Will Ferrell's Norway-hating Super Bowl ad with a series of comic spots starring Kristoffer Hivju, aka Tormund from Game of Thrones.
