Crush on the Creative Process

Life coach Jeff Leisawitz explains why loving the creative process is more important than loving the final product.

Why is "the creative process" so important? It doesn't matter what you’re doing—busting out a mood board for your new client, learning to tap dance, meditating into the void. Loving what you do is key to doing it well.

We tend to get stuck on outcomes. We want whatever we're doing to be great. But let's flip that around a bit… What if we focused on the doing rather than the thing? It might sound like a slight tweak of your attention, but it's huge.

Call it mindfulness, call it crushing on the process, call it tapping into the flow. It will change everything. And you'll remember why you love what you do. How does your inner experience change when you focus on the creative process instead of the outcome?
