It's Tea Time! T-Pain Really Pours It on for Lipton

'Cousin T' sends up '90s sitcoms

Crank up the laugh track and pour some iced tea!

PepsiCo's Lipton spoofs '90s family sitcoms in a digital content series starring T-Pain as "Cousin-T."

Rocking safari hats, shades and loud shirts while wheeling around a cart of assorted Lipton flavors, the rapper hangs with some relatives in three short episodes dropping today.

Right from T's "What up, fam?!" entry line, you just know he'll be staying all summer long.

Episode 1: Dinner with Cousin T featuring Lipton Iced Tea
Episode 2 (Extended Cut): Grillin’ With Cousin T and Lipton Iced Tea
Episode 3: Road Trip with Cousin T and Lipton Iced Tea

A Mr. T guest shot would slide in nicely. (Get his agent on the phone, Lipton!)

"With this sitcom-style approach, we're hoping to elicit nostalgic memories of family time and the laughs that come with it," Chauncey Hamlett, marketing lead for the South Division at PepsiCo Beverages N.A., tells Muse. "We saw an opportunity with this campaign to remind our consumers how important it is for people to reclaim their time with loved ones."

Creative agency Ten35 developed the campaign, and Vandal's Steve Pink directed. (Anyone remember his Hot Tub Time Machine comedy/sci-fi features? We don't.)

Fans who can't get enough could win a cookout with T-Pain, plus a year's supply of iced tea. Also, as part of PepsiCo's commitment to grassroots community programs, Lipton and T-Pain will award six $5,000 grants to help local restaurants.
