#WFH Diaries: Marcelo Nogueira of AlmapBBDO

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to change everyone's routine around the world, we're checking in with folks in the creative industry to see how they're doing. Here's an update from Marcelo Nogueira, executive creative director at AlmapBBDO.

Give us a one-line bio of yourself.

ECD at AlmapBBDO in Brazil.

Where are you living right now, and who's with you?

In the suburbs of São Paulo City. My wife, daughter and I live in a house surrounded by monkeys and toucans.

What's your work situation like at the moment?

We've all been doing home office for a week and a half now.

Describe your socializing strategy.

Zoom with friends, coffee breaks with my wife and daughter, throwing a ball for Ozzy.

How are you dealing with childcare?

My daughter is 14 years old now and I'm sure she's thoroughly enjoying the experience of being locked at home with her parents.

What are you reading?

Searching for Caleb, by Anne Tyler.

What are you watching?

Standup shows on Netflix. Anyone.

What are you listening to?

Rival Sons. Just been introduced to the band and I love them.

How are you staying fit?

I'm not.

OK, I bought some fitness equipment but, till today, they're brand new.

Have you taken up a hobby?

I play the drums and love video games. Actually I'm playing Death Stranding, which is the best boring game I've ever played.

Any tips for getting necessities?

Nicolau's Grocery Store. Call them when you're at Carapicuíba.

What's your theory on how this is going to play out?

We're going to live through hard times, defeat coronavrirus and hopefully will be more prepared for future threats. And for working from home, when necessary.
