Trailers of the Week: Blonde, A League of Their Own, and More

Plus, a return to Wakanda

Here are some trailers that caught our attention this week…

Blonde

Netflix
Trailer Agency: Empire Design

The trailer for Blonde is as stunning as its subject. Based on the Joyce Carol Oates novel, the film tells the story of two women sharing one body, and it happens to be the most famous in the world—Marilyn Monroe. Everything about the trailer is exquisite, especially the haunting rendition of "Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend." Blonde comes to Netflix on Sept. 28.

A League of Their Own

Prime Video
Trailer Agency: Tiny Hero

The beloved 1992 film is getting series treatment, and the trailer is a pure delight with new layers of story to be explored. The trailer sets a retro vibe. Nothing personifies that more than the ending graphics—I can only describe them, and the whole trailer, as fierce fabulousness. Check out A League of Their Own on Aug. 12.

Me Time

Netflix
Trailer Agency: AV Squad

Kevin Hart is a family man and Mark Wahlberg is his oldest friend who never grew up in their new comedy, Me Time. The trailer is filled with laugh-out-loud moments and an excellent throwback jam! The party starts Aug. 26.

Amsterdam

20th Century Studios
Trailer Agency: Wild Card Creative Group

All hail the return of David O. Russell in his latest all-star ensemble, Amsterdam. Set in the 1930s, the film follows three friends—a doctor, a nurse and an attorney—who witness a murder and then become the prime suspects. The trailer is fun, humorous, and full of heart and absurdity. And the musical weaving of "I'd Love to Change the World" is top-notch. See Amsterdam this November.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

Marvel Studios
Trailer Agency: The Hive (Disney in-house)

The trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is breathtaking. The music. The editing. The everything. It dazzles. Return to Wakanda on Nov. 11.
