Cadbury's New Creme Egg Shop Looks a Lot Like an Old Video Store

Elvis and Fuel4 design pop-up inside John Lewis

You'll find some sweet titles at Cadbury's retro video shop, but no movies.

Located at the John Lewis store in Oxford Street, London, the '80s-style pop-up promotes Cadbury's "EATertainment" platform, which launched in January, streaming short films that revolve around the Mondelez brand's oozy-gooey Creme Eggs.

Devised by agency Elvis with help from Fuel4, the activation boasts video boxes touting online content such as "The Other Half" (about a doting husband and wife, and Creme Eggs); "Eat With Your Ears" (Egg-SMR); and "Goo on Goo" (SFW egg-roticsm).

Patrons can watch highlights while buying Creme Egg treats and movie-themed tins. Just in time for Easter!

"We thought tapping into the nostalgia of a retro video store was a fun way to bring that streaming platform into the real world," says Elvis managing partner Caroline Davison. "We wanted to create a broader reach outside of traditional broadcast channels and bring Cadbury Creme Egg to a new retail environment."

The store will egg-sist through April 13, though perhaps they'll keep the yolk running if enough fans egg them on.
