This Ad Has 20 Hidden References to Netflix Shows. Can You Spot Them?

Bouygues Telecom gamifies its special offer

French phone and internet company Bouygues Telecom is offering a year of free Netflix to new subscribers—and is promoting the deal with a fun "Spot the Reference" game, where viewers are challenged to find 20 hidden references to Netflix shows within a new 60-second commercial. 

A hint to get you started: The lights from Stranger Things appear around the 17-second mark. But that's probably the easiest one. Spotting the others will require some serious Netflix fandom. 

The ad will run on French TV beginning this month. French residents who want to enter the contest for real can visit, which has an interface for entering the answers. 

The campaign comes from BETC Paris, which also made this sweet and goofy holiday spot for Bouygues Telecom last year, featuring a boy's journey through life alongside his dancing dad.
