Clio Music, Billboard Harmonize on New Awards in 2024

Honors innovative music, exec

Clio Music is partnering with Billboard to present two new awards next year. One prize honors "Favorite Music from a Commercial," with fans given the power to select a winner. That prize will be bestowed by Billboard during the Clio Music Awards, taking place in Los Angeles during Grammy week next year.

"I've always believed that music is the key ingredient for brands that want to break through in popular culture, so I'm especially excited to be launching the new 'Favorite Music from a Commercial Award,' which will give consumers the power to choose a Clio Music winner for the first time," says Nicole Purcell, CEO of the Clio Awards.

In addition, an Honorary Clio Music Executive Award will celebrate an industry pro who's creative outlook on advertising has shaped the music industry. This prize will be presented at the 2024 Billboard Power 100 event the night prior to the Clio Music Awards.

Clio Music opened its call for entries today and added two new mediums—Music Supervision and Fan Engagement.

Nominations for the Billboard Power 100 list will open this summer. You can read about this year's honorees online.

"We're excited to get started on planning next year's event and to be introducing a new award in collaboration with Clio Music that will honor a top executive with a demonstrated talent for music marketing and advertising."
