In a delightful twist of modernity, these beloved matriarchs are suddenly everywhere, from viral TikTok videos (#GrandmasofTikTok) to Oscar-nominated movies to hilariously outshining Jenna Ortega in a Doritos Super Bowl spot. Can you believe it? Neither could we!
The grandma content trend has been growing over the last few years, with countless heart-melting videos garnering millions of views. Sometimes it's the grandkids and cousins inviting us into sweet family moments, but more and more it’s the abuelas/nanas/grandmas/bubbes themselves joining dance challenges, showcasing their cooking skills, slaying looks and sharing dating advice.
Grandmas are not just stealing the show; they're breaking tired stereotypes.
