Anita Ward and Meghan Trainor Help Walmart and Target Stay on List of Most Shazam'd Ads

'Ring My Bell' and 'All the Ways' power retail spots

Walmart and Target, which are regulars on our weekly list of the most Shazam'd TV commercials, have two new spots debuting on this week's list—thanks to tracks by Anita Ward and Meghan Trainor, respectively. 

Ward's classic 1979 disco tune "Ring My Bell" drives the Walmart spot, promoting free two-day shipping (which can lead to plenty of bell ringing by the package delivery services). Target uses a contemporary track, "All the Ways" by Trainor, in a spot that's also about home delivery—"Target Run and Done."

The Walmart spot is No. 6 on this week's most Shazam'd ads list, while the Target spot is No. 9. Walmart has been on the list in recent weeks with the spot "Good Man," featuring the Ne-Yo track of the same name. Target has been a mainstay on the list for most of 2018 for its use of "The Middle," the collaoration between Zedd and Maren Morris and Grey, which has been used in a number of Target spots since winter. 

Meanwhile, Apple's spot featuring the Daniel Johnson track "Story of an Artist" is No. 1 for the third straight week.
