#WFH Diaries: Rosapark's Julien Moulin and Cyril Haoual

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to wreak havoc on everyday life, we're checking in with people in the creative industry to see how they're faring. Julien Moulin and Cyril Haoual are a copywriter and art director, respectively, at Rosapark in Paris. Here's a glimpse of where they are right now.

Muse: Give us a one-sentence bio of yourselves.

We're Cyril and Julien, two young creatives (26 and 27) who've been working in the same agency—but not as a team—for the past two years.

Where are you living right now, and who's with you?

We've both been living at Cyril's place since the start of the national lockdown.

What's your work situation like at the moment?

"It's complicated." As creatives, it's a bit hard to work from home and not be able to go out. Inspiration is harder to find.

Describe your socializing strategy.

Right now, it comes down to the both of us, really. We installed this group video chat app called House Party. It's fun to see our friends and colleagues wearing pajamas. For a few minutes only.

How are you dealing with childcare, if applicable?

Cyril knows how to do his business and eat on his own, so childcare is really not that complicated for me.

What are you reading?

I (Julien) just started Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari. I guess I have the time to read now, that's the good side of it. Cyril bought a book called How to Survive Living With a Copywriter. Not sure what's in the book. I guess I'll find out soon.

What are you watching?

TV series. Lots of them. Movies, too. We watched Interstellar again last night. What a great movie!

What are you listening to?

A few tech podcasts and a lot of uplifting music. I also have to listen to all of Cyril's work calls. Not fun.

How are you staying fit?

Staying fit is not really an issue for us, as Mother Nature granted us with perfectly sculpted…

Freeletics. We use Freeletics.

Have you taken up a hobby?

It's more like we have more time to do the hobbies we already liked. But working from home takes more time than in the office, leaving us without a lot of free time during the week.

Any tips for getting necessities?

Get dressed. Don't forget your keys. Go out. Find an open store. Take what you need. Go out. And don't forget to pay.

An awkward moment since all this started.

The moment Julien took his socks off. Cyril didn't know humans could have feet like … these.

Best work email you got since all this started.

"The project is postponed until after the lockdown."

An aha! moment since all this started.

That whole feet thing. It lasted for minutes. Actual minutes.

What's your theory on how this is going to play out?

We truly feel like this is the beginning of a new era for the human race. This whole lockdown situation made us all go back to the roots of who we are as human beings. It made us rethink our relationship with each other, but also with our planet. It became obvious—if it wasn't before—that our whole economic system is based on nothing and can crash at any moment.

Also, we have to stop buying and selling pangolins.
