From The Grudge to The Witcher, See This Week's Trailers and Posters

Plus, Disney+'s new Jeff Goldblum spot

It was a festive week in Hollywood. From thrills and chills to witchery and adventure, we saw it all, just in time for Halloween.

There were horror classics reimagined. We got a taste of The World According to Jeff Goldblum, which seems like a true delight. The dice on Jumanji were rolled once again. New players, more shenanigans.

Then we took some time to visit Ralph Lauren, the fashion master, on the runway and behind the scenes. We got a deeper look into the new Star Wars universe, which looks like the next level of television.

Finally, we indulged in some black magic with the likes of Henry Cavill. I would also categorize The Witcher as next-level television. After the trailer, I had to ask Google whether it was a series or film. That says something about the content shift we're seeing in the industry.

Sit back and enjoy some of the trailers and posters released this week.

The Grudge

Sony Pictures
Trailer Agency: Buddha Jones
Poster Agency: LA

The Grudge has been reimagined by horror master Sam Raimi, and the new trailer is filled with frights. What I enjoy most are the long sequence shots woven strategically throughout and synched with a chilling score—the trailer demands a few jumps. Check out the frightening key art. The Grudge re-emerges Jan. 3.

The World According to Jeff Goldblum

Disney+
Trailer Agency: MOCEAN
Poster Agency: N/A

The World According to Jeff Goldblum is coming to Disney+. What more could we possibly want from television? The special shoot trailer starring, you guessed it, Jeff Goldblum is fun, witty and divine. How could it not be? You get a taste of the happenings soon to come. See The World According to Jeff Goldblum on Nov. 12.

Jumanji: The Next Level

Sony Pictures
Trailer Agency: TRANSIT
Poster Agency: The Refinery

The trailer for Jumanji: The Next Level is a brilliant storytelling vehicle. We get background details, character development and comedic relief—all in two and a half minutes. The sequel looks like another extraordinary adventure. The key art promises the same. Jumanji: The Next Level begins Dec. 13.

Very Ralph

HBO
Trailer Agency: AV Squad

The teaser for Very Ralph focused on the American Dream and how fashion designer Ralph Lauren thrived off the idea. The new trailer goes deeper into the man behind the brand. The artist and craftsman. The trailer is inspiring, dramatic and celebrates the brilliance of fashion. Very Ralph debuts Nov. 12 on HBO.

The Mandalorian

Disney+
Trailer Agency: Buddha Jones
Poster Agency: LA

The new trailer for The Mandalorian is a reminder of how cinematic television has become. The trailer takes us into a Star Wars galaxy, like so many we've visited before, filled with stunning cinematography and music rising to epic vibrations. This trailer masterfully takes you on a journey, leaving you eager for the series launch Nov. 12. Check out the clever character posters as well.

The Witcher

Netflix
Trailer Agency: Intermission Film

The trailer for The Witcher, which is based on a best-selling novel series, introduces a fantastical world filled with magic and romance. The score for the trailer is magical in itself; it brilliantly keeps the story pace and heightens the dramatic arc. The Witcher arrives Dec. 20.
