Spotify Immortalizes Cardi B and Three Other Hip-Hop Artists With Their Own Sculptures

Round two of the RapCaviar Pantheon

In 2017, Spotify honored three of that year's biggest hip-hop artists—21 Savage, SZA and Metro Boomin—with life-size sculptures, immortalizing them, much as the great civilizations of antiquity did with their own epic heroes.

The project was dubbed the RapCaviar Pantheon, named after the RapCaviar playlist on Spotify—which, at 11.4 million followers, is the most influential playlist in the hip-hop world.

Today, Spotify announced four new additions to the Pantheon. They are Cardi B, Jaden Smith, Juice WRLD and Gunna. All four are getting their own sculptures, which will be on display from April 3-7 at the Brooklyn Museum, which also featured the first sculptures two years ago.

"Spotify is committed to supporting young, innovative artists who also have a positive impact on the music industry, culture, and society," said Carl Chery, Spotify's hip-hop curator and head of RapCaviar. "These four bold and fearless artists are striving to make changes with their music, and we're thrilled to induct them into the program."
